It's not that either group are screwy. It's that these are (mostly) two different groups of people looking at different things. Either one could be right, but both are unlikely to be right.

Andy has been advocating leveraged and hedged selling of both the bonds and the stocks based on this unlikelihood. It sort of gives him an 80% chance of being right because at least one of his short positions will be making money.

Wages are a big driver of inflation. They've been only moving up at 1/2 the rate of inflation since inflation blew higher. Once inflation is around 4% (we're already there), wages moving up at half that will help anchor things lower.
