That is too funny

Re <<My primary school was run by nuns. We learned to use the Abacus there>>

I was either not astute-enough or/and too distracted to learn use of abacus beyond point of addition

I was Schooled Maternelle (whoops kindergarten) to grade 3 at Chinese Catholic Mission in Montreal Chinatown slum.. we learned abacus also as all merchants used it :0).. Do not want to be cheated :)

edit really Jay .. U R my age about.. remember fancy calculators and postfix :)

Nice picture.

It does look unseasonably warm. Will I have to eat crow on my climate change predictions? At the moment I have it getting colder over the next decade or so.

It looks as if you have a busy schedule with your family. As my daughters grew older, I was not allowed to advise or interfere with anything unless things got really bad. I was there as a resource only if requested. That suited me, as little point straining family relationship with daughters who may have developed some strong independently minded views of their own.

Looks like a good place to study.
