they say they cannot talk about Covid vaccination w/ their friends and neighbours in San Francisco I've always known that most people are not amenable to reason. Their ideas are their identity. Their tribal affiliation provides their sense of reality. Mass formation psychosis, Stockholm Syndrome, cult, hypnotic trance etc describe the process. We all have habits, rules of thumb, standards of behaviour, ways of thinking, as it's not possible to reinvent reality for every minuscule move in a fast-moving world. But there's a normal distribution curve of flexibility and adaptability from very fixed to highly adaptable. Not all the Jim Jones cultists drank the poison. Covid in general and vaxxing in particular have shown who lies where. A LOT of people (about 80%) are very fixed. Similarly with Ukraine. 90% simply accept their programming from government edict, media propaganda and personal friends and family confirmation. Actually covid beliefs are more like 90% in the Stockholm Syndrome cult. I suppose the complexity baffles 98% of people so they go with their leader to cope. They don't have the time, inclination, brainpower or essential science knowledge to read and understand. What's interesting though is that they ignore the few who do. They are happy in their ignorance. They KNOW Putin did a totally unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country, intending to conquer all of Europe in a new Domino Theory. They have no idea who Victoria Nuland is and don't want to know. Zbigniew? Who he? Don't care. They are proud to be vaxxed to avoid getting infected, to stop the virus spread, to protect Granny = a safe and effective vaxx. That just happened to need government protection against liability, and the data needed to be hidden for 75 years. And please ignore those dead and crippled people who just had unrelated bad luck. There's no need to investigate. They are so sure of their Russia Russua Russia mania that they are willing to die in nuclear conflagration rather than think. Similarly, Made in China belief that they have to conquer Taiwan. Kim the Fatter and Emperor Pooh Xi would rather maintain and extend totalitarian control than live and let live and let bygones of previous generations be bygones. Where to from here is the issue. How were things in the past is not. Everyone in charge in 1900, 1940, 1948 or was on The Long March died long ago, or near enough. Emperor Pooh Xi frog-marched honoured elder Hu Jintao stage left into history. That's what should happen to much if not all of history. I wonder why Hu Jintao's paperwork was such a problem that he had to be frog-marched outa there.
