Wallace, Welcome aboard. Contrary to some posts of others, I have always felt that the more investors know about LGND, the greater the likelihood that they will come on board. LGND is a complicated story from just about every viewpoint. However, their cutting edge sciences is well grounded and will continue to churn out amazing discoveries. LGND has experienced management and they will make long term investors extremely happy. There are still those on this board who keep looking backwards to predict LGND's future. That approach has been fairly successful for the past few years. However, LGND has matured and their board based approach will begin to pay dividends big time. Their partners are just starting to put exciting drugs into the clinic, and LGND's internal efforts are poised to produce products with extremely attractive margins. The analysts have to take note (and rumor has it that they already are, big time). I thought that LGND's stock price would make a big move last year (price did run to 18 3/8 but then fell back on profit taking and overall market conditions. LGND's price jump is a bit late, but as it has demonstrated in the past few trading days, it can move very far very fast. Some think that they can sit on the sidelines and wait until next winter. Some others think that such an position is absurd. Of course I agree with the latter, and it will become increasingly obvious which view is correct. LGND is determined to generate some believers, and they have quite a bit of news yet to come.
