My daughter the coconut Message 34128430 is a self-starter, read this, learn that, try something else, all without fuss. My son the Jack Message 34145930 is less of a self-starter, but once started, he goes go-go-go, and he does start, so far. Starting sometimes requires a story about how one fine day he must fend for self and for his elder sister, or "blah blah blah" as he puts it. Jack is taught by either world champion or world champion's coach, for fencing and for badminton. I cannot remember which for what. As long as he likes the sport, I praise the almighty. Below some pics curated for own purpose as markers, essentially starting in 2005 (one of each kid and of two together) for each year so far so good, more or less, and no, the Coconut never cottoned to violin, and yes, 2020 did well for the kids' quality time together in a strange new country, doing zoom school w/ HK timezone, and hanging out w/ local school kids in S Africa. The Jack and the Coconut worked at somewhat different pace whilst in S Africa, and truth be told, teach the Jack was a full time job, whereas the coconut was simply let her loose. Either the badminton or the fencing coach said the Jack is strong, especially when called for, in surge mode, to explode into a finish, to vanquish - seems Jack's Kung Fu training is good prep for either and / or badminton and fencing. Strangely, Jack already qualifies for competition in both sports starting April. Some kind of good. And he assembled own computer from components :0)
