Wharfie, If we could do it single-handedly, they wouldn't have to follow us. If we ended up doing it "single-handedly," we would look downright stoopid, wouldn't we? But that's the thing. We didn't wait for a coalition of the willing before declaring an end to gas-powered vehicles. We just declared it and hoped that others would follow. IIRC, 19 states did. And they plus California probably represent a majority of the American population. Doesn't matter if it's one of the dumbest ideas to ever come out of this state, as long as you have this many people believing in "magical thinking." Tenchusatsu P.S. - Speaking of "magical thinking," I'm still frustrated by the lack of available chargers for my Toyota Pious Prime. Makes me wonder whether they're actually profitable without government subsidies.
