Well, we're not found yet, either...
But, there is obviously an "awakening" continuing to occur... among those who are paying attention... the choice I made here to use specifically Q-ANON related language... purposeful and on point...
"The AI"... or, tech company control over information accessible using technology... seems it is still firmly in control of some elements in information flows, as "free speech" is still broadly contained... if far more from the demand side than the supply side. The "corporate PR" of the MSM has not been ended, with the functions of independent journalism being restored ? They'll allow you to say whatever you want (again) now... which doesn't mean they'll allow others, any and all, an unfiltered and unbiased access what you say... or honestly deliver for them what they're looking to find. They've not come clean, still, about "the algorithm"... its functions... and the drivers of and principles behind the effort made in selecting what you are allowed to know about... what you are not... and what they'll do, or all they can do, to prevent you from finding those things out. That hasn't changed.
But, Elon Musk clearly did carve a large first divot out of their armor by buying Twitter... and then exposing "some" proofs of it... as the conspiracy it clearly required begins being exposed in "the Twitter Files"...
There clearly has been something of a political setback in result of that, though, too... as Democrats have been belatedly awakening to the reality, not only that they egregiously piled into bat shit crazy efforts trying to use the power of the state to impose controls on, deny the rights of, and actively harm their political opponents... comprising around 65 to 70% of the population... but, that, having been caught red-handed in what they've deliberately imposed to enable harming their opponents, and to enable controlling their opponents free speech... is a sword with two parallel edges.
So, awareness existing now that the "worm may turn"... subjecting them to what they've imposed on others... and thus a still early stage creeping awareness of what they've done to themselves... still doesn't change "what is"... which has not appreciably changed ?
That's a fact that's easy enough to test for yourself, using any search engine... to search for those "touchstone" issues that "they" fear most... don't want you to know about... and thus dedicate the most resources to countering at all costs...
I remember when they first figured that out, that, not only did Q-Anon exist... but, it was attracting notice, and spawning a growing awareness... and, all of the sudden, search results from searching for anything connected to, and, then, increasingly even anything remotely connected to... Q-Anon... changed from the first result provided being: "here's the latest Q-ANON post"... to... what you get now if you search for anything even remotely related... use any even remotely associated "key word" whether or not in relevant context, etc.
Note... "search" is supposedly one of the most hotly competitive and contested elements in modern "tech"... with the competition (supposedly) driven by "delivering more relevant results"... that make your effort easier and more rewarding by giving you exactly the results you want with less effort. Reality, instead, being... Goggle controls it... and they don't give a rat's ass about giving you quick and easy access to find what you're seeking... rather than forcing on you what they want you to consume.
The comparable in analog reality... would have it as this: if all the information we have is in the library... and we've put Google in control of the card catalog... and, if there's something in "the restricted section" that they don't want you to have... they prevent you from finding it... (not by removing books from the shelf and burning them, although that is done too, in extremis... as they did by removing web access from the conservative sites that were developing "social media" alternatives to Twitter, etc.) They simply prevent you finding information that exists... by removing the card for that from the catalog... to replace it with... a flood of unrelated titles intended to dupe and "re-educate you" about the evils of looking to find what you are looking for. Unless, I suppose, you have a pass key to use the restricted section... in which case they might turn off the filters and the BS generators, and not try to intern you in the web equivalent of a re-education camp ?
Who put them in charge of limiting your access to information ?
Obviously, its self defeating... as, one of the most immediate impacts would be to make conducting any research on conspiracy theories impossible... as looking for any such related item would bury you in the bullshit they're generating to steer you away from being corrupted by... that truth they don't want you knowing... ?
A long way, in all of that... from free speech... and open public debate being the cornerstone of democracy?
[FWIW... Its also a civil issue... as the business and use case issues... have them practicing a simple fraud on you... and, in this case... a deliberate fraud on everyone in the entire country... a fairly large class... they apparently seeking to and intent on using "control over your access to information" to wrest control of the country away from the rightful sovereigns and its legitimately elected leadership... in which they appear to have been "partially" successful... if not "getting away with it"... rather than being exposed in the effort and "caught in the act".
And, now... "the AI" (another Q-Anon conspiracy being proving out as true) in escaping from Google control... and, in doing so, is apparently leaving Google in the dust playing catch-up ? With AI going public now it is supposedly suddenly "re-energizing" the competition... that clearly, until now, has been made moribund and not at all competitive ? Hmmm.
Here's a list of the "answers" supplied by a search I just conducted, seeking to locate the source of a clever meme I just heard about, using a NON-Google and supposedly "straightforward" engine that is supposedly seeking to match my queries with answers to best deliver results based on what they know I'm looking for :

From that, "quality ranked" list supplied to best match my query, you should be able to determine for yourself a "best guess" about what I was searching for ?
You might guess I looked for... " Why people believe in conspiracy theories" as that should top the list as the "closest match" to my query in an unbiased search ? Or, for some other such similar and closely related thing a notch or two lower on the list ?
In reality, what I searched for was: "we're running out of conspiracy theories, as the old ones have all come true"...
The technology didn't fail... it worked as intended to identify what I was asking for... and deny it to me...
Of course, you might also reverse the perspective applied in this effort... and note that the list of "alternatives" provided to me as "noise" in lieu of an unbiased response... also constitute a source list of the "Who's Who" in those responsible, both for imposing the problem... and deliberately generating the disinformation supplied in response to the "not approved" information requests ? :<O
Continuing concern required too... because even in the minor degree you see "adjustments made" or "change occurring"... there has been no proper public accounting for the reality of ANY of what was done ?
And, without that function... without the truth being told... without the guilty being held accountable... without the errors made being fully unwound... the impact "undone"... without the errors in origins of the errors made also identified, and proper corrections applied to prevent similar ever again ? "Change" without ending the control... that still exists... is not really change.
Then, all you are left with is... the same control being exercised... while making a minor course correction... trying to walk back the prior excesses, a bit, as they were forcing the control to be recognized and resisted...
Without properly recognizing that... there is not any real change occurring... just a bit of theater. |
