You've got that exactly backwards. Russia is in a no win situation. Facing a people who hate them now, supported by a coalition of western powers with limitless resources and better weapons. Half of Russian modern tanks have been destroyed and can't be replaced due to parts only the west can provide. I already told you how it is going to end. It's a stalemate that will guarantee Russia as a major world power will never be again. They might as well be bombing themselves into the stone age. The chips that they used to build their shitty modern weapons, they can no longer get. Soon they will try using soviet era weapons. They are running out of time, at their current burn rate. One more year of this war and they will be bankrupt with no access to the world system of finance or parts. By your own example, you can never defeat a country that the people hate you. When this war started this was a forgone conclusion.
