Ramsey, okay you're no Gilder but you're no Silver Tongued Fox either. After you guys got done charming the Erlangs off Amy, SHE SOLD HER QCOM! Next year, Surfer Mike's gonna strut on down and show you what a professional can do when presented with co-shareholder interface opportunities. (As soon as Diamond H and I work on the ear-hair issue which admittedly is a problem.)

Speaking of problems, I note that the Koreans have called out the gendarmes to deal with some very upset unions. Would someone please explain to me (a) why the market keeps going up and (b) why the Q's trading range now resembles T in the '60's? Note: anyone who attempts to make the case that the Korean army will place an order for 500,000 cell phones for crowd control purposes is disqualified from responding. Mike Doyle

Thanks Ramsey.

I think Qdog touched on this: in order for wireless to really take off, they need to stop charging by the minute, especially with WLL. Now that people are getting used to AOL's flat rate, will they buy a 3GW terminal so they can pay $0.25 a minute to surf?

It looks like IS95 has the capacity to eventually abolish the time charges (or at least cut them in half.) But, I wonder if ETSI's challenge is not the expense and complexity, but the fact that GSM works well enough for most people to shrug off UTRA.

I like WLL. I would love to have the same phone number between my home phone and my mobile phone. I think these cellphone switches are perfectly capable of doing this. I just need a 411 listing and my spot in the white pages.

Did anyone try out the internet terminal kiosk in one of the San Diego Airport terminals? I was hoping that idea would take off...

Gregg Powers, what do you use on the road?
