LGND has a poison pill to avoid a hostile takeover. Acquiring company (LLY?) would get a fantastic pipeline with many partners attached. Brokers who do M&A think it's a great idea. LGND is still very cheap, but I would think that they would demand a SUBSTANTIAL premium.
