I have spent a lot of time looking at the OMNIS product, which has a powerful technical following. There clearly is a market for their software (altho' software is so easy to supercede). OMNIS as a company is in deep trouble and the path to resurrection is not at all clear. The rights to the software are now incredibly cheap and are be an interesting test of its future value. If the software is so good, is so widely known in the software consulting/development community and has such excellent potential, why wouldn't someone with assets pick it up at this bargain-basement price? This question is the one that keeps me from rejoining the bandwagon, tho' I'm still watching the parade pretty closely.
