Mine re China... accepting that, yes, of course, they are lying...
Without comment on the merit of the attempt, as not judging content quality

Merely an observation that... they're really, really unconvincing...
Not as a function of analysis of content... but of delivery
Like the Putin quip... only not funny... just... odd

Its probably a function of our (legacy of) free speech and free markets...
Where we also expect our politicians to be liars

But, even while failing in convincing us
We require them to be better at attempting it..
