Stray dogs maul five-year-old to death

Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that the dogs in the area were usually fed meat by an elderly woman. The child was apparently carrying a packet containing some food item when the dogs pounced on him.

"She (the elderly woman) was not to be seen there for the past two days. The dogs got used to (eating) meat. It was suspected that the dogs might have been hungry and apparently due to hunger or some other reason they got ferocious and attacked the boy."

Undoubtedly a tragic event but it leaves me with a question of my own:

Why did the person taking the video not interfere?

It looks like he was in close proximity to the incident. Even yelling at the dogs, throwing rocks or whatever would have probably distracted them.

Les H,

Maybe they should castrate the guy that filmed the killing and did nothing. And maybe the parents should be strung up for allowing a boy that young to be on the street unattended. Pack of small dogs should be put down. A lot of blame to go around here.
