President Lasso is a businessman as well as a politician. Yes, there are lefties and anti mining groups in Ecuador, but they are everywhere. If anyone can get a mine permitted in Ecuador, it is the folks at Adventus.
Also, large miners like BHP and Newcrest are active in Ecuador. They wouldn't be there if they didn't believe they could build a mine there.

That said, in North America, the jurisdiction with the lowest political risk is probably Quebec, Canada. Show me a place where there is no political risk.
