“are diamonds still a girl's best friend?”

Yes they are, for at least subconsciously, she knows if she ever needs to backslap the donor, the diamond will leave a permanent mark on the donor’s cheek/jaw, simultaneously inhibiting the donor’s romantic mobility, while also satisfying the fury of a scorned woman. And, the diamond can be used as a cash source for a quick body/face/wardrobe makeover to seduce her next victim, which will bug the crap out of the guy who bought the diamond.

Meanwhile, this market diamond to which you allude, is currently being used to slice the face of those with a bullish persuasion. And yet, after you’ve been scarred by it, will you not still love & cherish the market and its fickle, double-minded nature?
4050 was the upside breakout point, the upside break momentarily failed, which is a common tendency. 95% of initial moves OUT of a diamond are fakes or failures. What comes next will be the Real McCoy. The clock for the move will reset to the genuine breakout, but who here is in a hurry? We just get more time up on the deck, high & dry, while the chairs are shuffled and the band continues to entertain.
