I just thought of something else. First off, some thread posted that
IOM is down to 9 1/16 on instinet. Can anyone confirm this.
Also, did anyone read Cramers article this week on how the shorts try to manipulate using instinet afterhours? It's so simple its sick and I wonder if that's what happened to IOM during the big selloff last month? Basically a big short (one who has shorted a stock bigtime)
finds a point like an earnings CC and afterwords offers stock for sale
down. Being that the market is not very liquid somebody buys it thinking he got a deal (report wasn't THAT bad etc.). So the short (the seller afterhours and trying to bring the price down) offers more shares below the days close. Suddenly and magically a new price standard has been set and by open all hell breaks loose. Cramer himself buys into these manipulations and forces the price higher the next day and a short squeeze may ensue. I wonder if that happened (I would bet it did) to IOM last month, and I wonder if someone is screwing around tonite because the fear the conference manana.
