SI has more than a few short-comings related to obvious flaws in browser integration... And, the browsers themselves are mostly "hackable" enough that there's obvious risk in annoying someone enough that they might find it useful to not only spy... but, occasionally, amateurishly, intervene... Has happened to me twice, recently... with it, both times, clearly being "through the browser" interference... not apparently SI related in terms of origins... rather than "observers" getting hackles up and over-reaching. I tend to not care about the spying (commonly an intramural sport)... I'm not trying to hide my opinions by posting them... so, as long as there's no overt interference... trying to prevent me from posting opinions... I'll mostly just ignore it. And, then, if it gets problematic... I'll just sweep them all out... and maybe submit "fixes" for the holes in the browser or OS that's providing their path. But, in either case... I've brought it up to the gurus at SI multiple times over the years... They used to deflect... saying "its just you"... But, eventually... one of them confessed that, yeah, its a big problem... but they don't want to do the work ($) to fix it... so people have just given up asking for fixes... and accept that posts sometimes evaporate. So, what HE does... if he's not applying text message limits in a post... but actually communicating... is copy the post into a text editor... then write the reply in the text editor... copy/paste... so that hitting a back button, or some (still don't know what) accidental key combination... anything resulting in accidentally navigating away from the page you're writing on... doesn't result in a massive loss of work. I've also seen it where I do navigate away... come back... and its still there. So, the integration issue isn't all / only because of SI changes (which are not occurring, supposedly)... but random browser changes... some of which may be "hack" related... or, "security protocol" limits, or, just... whatever. Oh, yeah... Go fuck yourself George.
