Hambrecht & Quist LLC -- BUY Recommendation

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 (Reuters) - Hambrecht & Quist LLC raised its rating on
shares of Informix Corp to buy from hold after the company reported a fourth quarter
profit of $0.05 a share versus analysts' consensus of a loss of $0.16 a share.

-- said the company's revenue recognition ''appears conservative'' and cost savings
were substantial.

-- said balance sheet is healthy with shareholder equity rising from a negative $6.0
million to a positive $61 million.

-- boosted 1998 earnings estimate to a profit $0.09 from a loss $0.14.

I have 20 may 7.5 calls and plan to keep them right to the end and then take the 2000 shares at 7.5.

databases are powerful tools and, imo, will be at the core of the web ....moving objects from one person to another via the internet.

what else but a database could make this happen?
how many products are there out there that can get that done right now?
