New studies have concluded that a leading cause of heart attacks or strokes in younger people is artificial sweeteners in their food. Stevia and Monk-fruit products are the biggest culprit and they are the sweetening agent used in major brand soft drinks and a large variety of low-calorie foodstuffs. It seems the chemicals cause the platelet cells to clump into clots.
