Tiger's annual sales were $400 million, of which I've heard $100-150 million was Giga Pets alone. (talk about fads, probably be zero next year!)

As I mentioned before, the low price/sales (0.8x) paid for Tiger is not helpful for Radica, which has a current p/s of about 3.5x.

Hi Chaz,
ODM is not very common at all in our business as far as I am aware. What a lot of people do (Tiger included I believe) is outsource a lot of their design because it means less fixed overhead in the R&D area, so that they pay a percentage of final product to the designer. We prefer to keep our design internal as we have better control and people who are always thinking Radica.

Incidentally, my "I wish" comment was a bit tongue in cheek - it simply meant that no-one gets to keep a design if they are paid to come up with it by someone else - I wouldn't read anything else into this.
