Congress asks Gates to testify zdnet.com

But Bill doesn't think he can make it, as you might guess. Not that I blame him, his political naivete is somewhat exaggerated.

''Bill has a previous long-standing commitment, but we look forward to participating in the hearing, either with Bill if we can change his schedule, or with another very, very senior Microsoft executive,'' said Mark Murray, a Microsoft (MSFT) spokesman.

Maybe they could send Joachim Kempin to set those pompous Senators straight. He could park his silver Porsche in Hatch's parking place to set the right tone. What could the long-standing commitment be? Here's a hint from last week:

Gates pushes new tech term www5.zdnet.com

HELSINKI, Finland - Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has introduced a new term -- the digital nervous system (DNS) -- for networks of personal computers.

Having spilled the beans to the Finns on this, who could be next? The Estonians? (oops, apologies to any Estonians out there- How about the Freedonians?) I guess we'll have to wait for the appointed time to see.

Cheers, Dan.

Well, errr hmmm speaking as an investor, YES!

P.S.

I was a little surprised that a bit of criticism thrown to your onlsaught
of anti Microsoft dogma resulted in such a bludgeoning shrill reply!
