No, it was about as light as it gets. Its the low season. There were still lots of crowds, but I couldn't imagine it in the Summer. We went to Amalfi and some days it was difficult to get around there. In the Summer it would be total gridlock. If you get to Amalfi, or just want to go down the Amalfi coast take a SITA bus. You won't believe what those bus drivers are capable of in those narrow twisting roads from Sorrento to Ravello. We were in Rome and Amalfi for the most part.
