Sounds like we're all just having difficulty with perceptions tonight... Last time I checked... the "homeboys" are wearing the "adrenaline sports" attire... probably more so than the adrenaline sports players themselves... Like any market, there's the perception of what the product is, and then there's the target demographic. The two don't have to be a match, and particularly in fashion, they rarely are. Consider this, who wears more football jerseys year in and year out in this country??? Football players or just ordinary Joe's who think the "look" is cool? Consider this, the true apparel of extreme or adrenaline sports is spandex and protective gear... not much to market is it?? Now take "ordinary" apparel, plug in some hip-looking graphics that suggest an affiliation with extreme sports, and you've got "extreme sports apparel for the common man." THIS is something to market...
