Have you ACTUALLY looked at the Nordic countries...

"Bless their hearts"... I hear its lovely this time of year... or, "who could have seen that coming" ?

The thing about [Ignorant] and proof of [the need for better decisions] is... well... the proof in needing to reconsider how decisions are made to [make better decisions]... is unavoidably linked to that first bit... and, opting for that comes with consequences:

Norway:
2005: Norway: Migrant Quality, Not Quantity

2014: The effects of more immigrants on public finance

2014: End of oil boom threatens Norway's welfare model

2015: Norway 'paying' asylum seekers to return home as refugee crisis continues

2016: To deter refugees, Norway readies fence on ex-Cold War border

2017: Integration and trust – long-term consequences of high immigration

2018: Refugee integration policy the Norwegian way – why good ideas fail and bad ideas prevail
2022: Norway is lovely, so why are people leaving ?

Sweden: same thing...

"Cash support for reestablishment"

2021: Even Sweden Doesn't Want Migrants Anymore
Mar, 2023: Sweden’s new ‘voluntary return’ migration push raises eyebrows

Not sure how socialism and immigrants got intertwined.. but much of our immigrant problem is US caused :) see QC border ;) but it has been like that since WWI.. US cannot handle it.. but the Canadians can ... ;)

at any rate.. I do agree a total open door policy is tough... OTOH

I took an uber when visiting my mom in Montreal last year.. Arab immigrant guy picks me up... employed engineer in an entry level Beamer .. so moonlighting ... we chat.. He used to work at a Quebec Restaurant chain called La Belle Province.. hotdogs hamburgers fries poutine etc.. He wondered why all these customers showed up first two weeks of the month .. Simple one said.. the chomage/bein-etre cheques come in unemployment and welfare ..

ie Immigrants are NOT a problem ... that line is bullchit .. They do not feel entitled... and the & of lazy assholes is far less than the rest of the population INMVHE..

One of my sisters works for they Church dealing specifically with immigrants.. They all want to work.. .. relative number of slugs/leeches to extant population is extremely low..

the nonsense of dropping prayer mats wherever .. well not seeing that here ...
