I don't know who still watches local news now that you can get the weather whenever you like. Local newscasts typically go for doom and gloom (if it bleeds, it leads), local politicians (barf), and insufferably saccharine sweet feature stories, all with forced "witty" banter between those in the studio.

I'd rather have my nails pulled out slowly.

Looks like maybe one in 100 Americans watch an evening local newscast. Guaranteed they ain't young.
