I believe that you can short a bb stock but that many brokers won't because it's so difficult to find or borrow the stock.
I know cuz I've tried looking for stock to borrow for other brokers and it's a bitch to find. Plus stocks 5 and under aren't marginable. EOSC was just at the cusp of falling under 5.
