Well, it's good to see you're taking some responsibility for your own decisions. I think you should at least try to get double your money back, though. You see&#151here in America, everbody has the constitutional right to be stupid, and through the use of lawyers, you're even allowed to abuse the privilege. Isn't this a great country? Make sure you mention to your lawyer that I said this&#151you'll get double for sure.

Re: >>>I am doing the paper work that the lawyer sent to me yesterday for the suit against IOMEGA. I bought 5000sh during the class period and lost big $$. The lawyer said that I could get at least half of the lose back.<<<

Jone, I'd be willing to bet that Nomai is looking to hire caring and responsible individuals like yourself. You should apply for a position there. Just think, you have a uniquie opportunity to make a career out of taking from Iomega. Could life be better than that!

Don't thank me for the idea, my reward is in knowing that you're happy.

Good luck.

DearJone,

My hope for you is that you got that statement from the lawyers about at least getting half of your LOSS back, IN WRITING. That way when this suit is thrown out you can get another greedy lawyer to sue the first lawyer group. Try very hard to get them to commit to a recovery in writing also, it could be very profitable!!!!!!!!!!

Jone -

Your lawyer is lying, plain and simple. Ask him to provide proof of ANY securities lawsuit similar to this one that has paid plaintiffs anywhere near half of what they lost.

Ask for proof.

I don't know what country you come from nor do I care, but I have news for you. When you file a lawsuit, especially, class action, the lawyers get 80% of the pot and their clients get coupons for a couple of bucks off their next purchase of a product from the company that they just sued.

If you don't believe me, here's a good example. Lawyers took GM to court in a class action for the side saddled gas tanks in certain GM trucks. Now keep in mind that these vehicles prices start at least 18,000+ and go upwards depending on what you want on them.

When the suit was settled, clients recieved a coupon for a $100 off on their next purchase of a GM vehicle. Don't believe me, look it up. Many companies settle out of court not in admission to guilt, however, to limit the fees the blood suckers charge and carryon with their business.

If you think you'll get half of what you lost, then cRocky ( a famed investor on this thread,) has a bridge to sell you near where he lives.

One more thing, what was your reason for investing 5,000 shares in IOM? Sounds to me that you needs your diappers changed more than anything. Your post was really sentimental, tears were coming down my eye when I was done reading it.

Dear Jone,

I think you should help your lawyer friend as much as possible. In the last suit against Iomega the lawyers got $236,00 and the Iomega consumers got neat $3.00 gift certificates for Iomega products.

If your lawyer works real hard he could get a couple hundred thousand dollars and you will be rewarded with a neat $5-10 gift certificate for Iomega products.

This should more than adequately repay you for your $40,000 lack of stock trading judgement. Also, people will be impressed on how you came out with only a $39,990 loss, instead of a $40,000 loss.

Take care,

Mike
