Mike. I agree with you that Tpro is a hot air balloon.
But we mean two different things by that.
You seem to think Tpro is a complete fraud.
I don't.

I just mean that it is overvalued relative to current and future earnings growth. Yes the year 2k work may give a substantial kick to the earnings.

Then what?

I am fully familiar with the claims for then what - ie further consolidation etc.
I just think they are highly speculative by people who have little or no understanding of the systems integration industry.
It's hard enough for people who are experts in industry to predict the future development of markets and winners and losers in markets.
We don't have a single person on this thread who even comes close to an expert in this market.

Peter Lynch said invest in what you know.
Almost all, if not all, of us are violating that rule here.

Also most of these people are talking concept - not dollars and cents.
There is an old saying called sell the sizzle, not the steak.
There are a number of people on this board who get very agitated and nasty when you start to look at the steak.
When you look at the steak you could reach the conclusion JDN proposed a while back.
That is Tpro will be worth about 9.50 - in 2002.

I disagree with you, though, about where the stock price is headed.
Zitl proves beyond any doubt that a stock which is an almost total fraud can soar way out of sight.

I don't see why a similiar thing can't happen to Tpro.
The Tpro story is as strong if not stronger then the Zitl story.
Maybe it's all or mostly fiction - but when will that become clear?

Even under the worst circumstances I don't think it's going to be clear this quarter. No matter what the earnings are the company will be pointing us toward the future. If you listened to the Emerald Conf. call you would know that the company has not pulled back in the least with respect to claims for it's prospects.

If the company signs a few of the big contracts it has mentioned, then the beliefs of the rabid bulls will be reinforced and Tpro will take off - imo.

If CD sales eventually pick up (and it won't take a lot) then the stock will soar even higher.

And then it will be a long time before people start to question whether the bottom line justifies the price.

Although I said I don't believe Tpro is a fraud.
I could make a good case for it.
Contrary to the claims of the rabid bulls on this board,
Tpro management has done some very fishy things.
This doesn't necessarily prove anything.
And in fact may be a complete red herring.
But I could give you a number of examples that would raise doubts.

That aside the key here is whether or not Tpro has found a niche and is going to sign some large contracts and will CD sales start to pick up. This is the question we really need to focus on. My suspicion is that Tpro will announce such a signing along with the earnings release.

If they do, then Tpro will start heading up again.

I believe this stock can easily go to the twenties then.

I also hope someone during the CC will ask hard questions with respect to CD sales? The delay in wonderware's shipment doesn't explain why Tpro has sold so few to it's existing base of customers.
There may be perfectly legitimate explanations for the slow sales to date, I would just like to know what they are.

Whatever happens I do expect a dip in price during the first couple of weeks in March. That is about when the warrants will be callable also if I read the March 97 S-3 correctly about 1.4 million shares will be unlocked on Feb. 28.
