Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 218088 War is the most stupid thing humans do . And, yet... "people must be governed"... by force ? Or, if they are not, they "self organize"... form gangs, mobs... "aggregate"... into tribes... and put us right back where we were... as we have done for thousands of years... including for thousands of years now apparently lost to history... awareness of which is now slowly pushing back to 15,000 or 25,000 years ? The effort applied in "aggregating"... first in tribalism... then... from warring neighbors and tribes... to warring states... finds it has no limits under aggregation... until empires collide ? And the only limits there, today, seem to be those in "lemming like" cyclic elements in behavior... "never again" not outliving a single generation... and, otherwise, perhaps a necessary pause in intervals between wars, as incrementally rebuilding capacities... and creating new ones... that are then poised to be expended in the next round ? The utopianism in creating the U.N. as a "solution"... ignores that the near universal lack of good faith in adherence to the principles... imposes it as an obstacle to... it having any of the function as was intended ? If the U.N. were not a failure... you'd not have the WEF crowd pretending they can impose a "privately owned" alternative that will "work better" because "trust us" ? LOL!!! Whatever our capacity in "learning curves" as individuals... where narrowing focus in observation enables progress in science and technology, or "focusing the team" generates combinations in productive capacity that create reuseable rockets and a 2nd generation of EVs... there appears no viable function that applies "learning curves" or limits to the aggregating functions... Some of that seems increasingly obvious today... as no limits are applied to... "some" individuals... who have obvious limits in capacity to understand, but recognize no limits as others... and have none that matter in relation to "self control"... Short list of those made subjects here... easy enough... the Soros's, Gates, and related... the Putin's, Xi's, and Biden's of the world... not where they are because "sharpest pencils"... but as pairing a singular narrow skill set and single-mindedness... with "aggregating"... Found an instance in a point of contrast, yesterday... Elon Musk fumes over OpenAI becoming ‘$30B market cap for-profit’ after his $100M donation Elon Musk Frets As Microsoft Axes AI Ethics Team... The evil bastards of the world are not becoming less evil... and "above the law" seems an obviously real thing... that is only growing more real. The abusive and predatory nature of Gates, in particular, keeps popping up in new venues, showing the nature of the challenge that does exist... given an obvious lack of an ability to impose functional limits... the "challenge" CANNOT be one that is able to be resolved by "solutions imposed from the top down"... when "the top" has proven as easily co-opted as it has ? The idiocy of the WEF crowd suggests... (as also the point of Maurice Winn's "argument") that it would all go away if only you submit to us (me)... under a single empire "we" control... exactly as said by every other tyrant, ever... so that idiocy in pretending one world government will make conflict go away... requires them to FOSTER wars between empires today... while expecting themselves to be the ones left as "last man standing" ? <rolls eyes> But, mostly, that wouldn't happen, if there weren't the issue of some people trying to tell others what to do, and assuming they have that authority by right ? Tribalism and its aggregates under modernity... address a reality that enhancement in technology may (if allowed) obviate our prior solutions, and outpace the rate at which we're able to come up with better solutions to the (same old) problem imposed... by some feeling entitled to control others choices? [And, now... control others perspective, access to information, acculturated awareness ?] That is, or should be, obvious as pure error... moving us backwards... [Make better decisions]... choosing "not ignorance"... is the only probable path out of being governed by the aggregate in ignorance of other men... who choose a particular brand of ignorance themselves, and deliberately foster ignorance in others broadly, as a necessary element of enabling themselves in seeking the benefits it enables... for a few. One possible result of [make better decisions]... is awareness enabling a refusal to empower idiots... But, granted its a long shot... Technology, otherwise, is obviating those few "limits" that our prior experience had enabled... that previously worked to contain the worst tendencies in expressions of power, and imposed meaningful constraints as "checks" on "empire builders"... You can't destroy the "rules based order" that was the basis of cooperation... without that imposing global anarchy... and a return to "unchecked" behaviors based on... "the tooth"... vs. "the truth" ? So, "it's going to get worse"... seems an obvious truth... as long as [make better decisions] is prevented in favor of FORCED acceptance of control of opinion. If you don't understand what "the goal" in "acceptance" of governance is SUPPOSED to be... before empowering governance that... is empowered in seeking its own goals... and is easily hijacked by those most successful in propagating ignorance in others ? It is why I will persist in pointing out "no difference between capitalists, communists and kings" as the necessary point in understanding... as the SHARED error in their origins... is the driver in all that above... The "purpose" of government... the origin and structure of sovereignty... and the foundation of communists, capitalists, and kings shared "world view" ... contain it... Make no change in those... and we sustain the patterns as the last 25,000 (?) years of history... AI and robots... will make controlling you easy... so, clocks ticking on "getting it right"... and "fixing it"... ? Otherwise, "You'll have nothing and be happy... (if we let you live)" ?
