Don't be kidding yourself. INTC and MSFT makes products that nobody else can. They are the market leaders in what they do. AOL is not. There are about 5000 companies in US that provide internet connection. AOL is simply an ISP with lousy connections and troubling accounting problems. Any dog can be an ISP but any dog can't make Windows 95 and pentium processors.

Growth companies got be showing perfect growth to demand the hefty premium. Let me tell you about a modal growth company with such premiums. PSFT. Great products, good growth, good earnings and hefty PE. Makes sense?

For the record, I bought back AOL at 114 7/8.
