Any idea how much of Micron's SDRAM is 64 Meg? And what is their cost? Could demand be increasing and margin on this product relatively high?

Larry I don't know dates of these prices but they seem a bit high.
Synch 16 meg have sold under 3.00 during the weakness and most
recently in the mid 3.00 range. However, this weakness in Sdram
is fueled by tremendous competition to secure the few real oem
customers{CPQ<IBM etc}to long term relationships as every mfger
exits last gen of FPM,EDO drams.I believe that towards the middle
or end of the year demand will start to outstrip supply in Sdram
and firmer pricing could take place.
The investor in me is willing to buy Sdram much like a good stock
and put it away for a few months and wait for the inevitable surge
even if only temporary.
Regards jerry

Larry, I believe that your SDRAM chip prices are inconsistent (too
high) with your 32MByte DIMM pricing.

Smith's site looks like retail, I cannot believe they actually sell anything at those prices, I called them and they are looking for any offer on some of that stuff. I dont think they want to put their bottom number on the web but to haggle to some agreed on price.
So the prices are way inflated in my opinion compared to OEM.ie,64M sync is around $16-$16.75 vs I think they had $24.50 or so.
AICE is a more realistic on the 16M components, good luck.
