Wharfie, Dana Perino is right. The left wants to obfuscate their woke ideology by challenging conservatives to define it.

But the left has already defined it for us.

It shows up in critical race theory, which has already permeated throughout academia, social media, and now corporate America.

It shows up in the NYTimes' 1619 Project, which is a blatant revising of history in order to reverse a perceived "structural deficiency" in American society.

It shows up with all this talk about "white privilege."

It shows up when Pete Buttigieg calls America's highway system "racist."

It shows up when the Constitution itself is called "racist" because it was written by a bunch of white slave owners in order to protect their own privilege.

Being "woke" literally means being aware of this "hidden truth," that racism is virtually baked into all parts of society, from our infrastructure to our laws to our capitalist economy.

In such a world view, even being color-blind is "racist" because it denies the very "hidden truth" of systemic, structural racism.

The only way to overcome this systemic racism is by being "anti-racist," which means giving special privileges to the races that are harmed by said systemic imbalances.

That's "wokism" in a nutshell. It takes everything that is wrong with (big-L) Liberalism today and doubles down on it.
