My take on Naomi.....iom already sells the disks as low as 8.99 at sams......not 12.99 as the article said....thats almost a 50% difference...so if naomi thinks that by selling at 6 or 7 will get the market....i don't think so....if they were to sell at 5....and only if which i dont belive will happen because of the copyright case, they would not make money.....why...it was stated in barrons months back that naomi would come out with these things at 8 or 9 bucks.....now we hear that it costs nothing to make!!!!! then why not sell for $1....anyway..the good news is we are shipping in volume the jazz2 and buzz.....i think it will be a good qt. and on our way back to 30...

ps...all iom has to do is change the drive slightly....and warn up front....i for one would not risk saving a couple of bucks to ruin my drive or data.......would you

More Interesting Tidbits:

"Iomega's continuous-mode and start/stop tests provide no credible evidence of XHD disk incompatibility with Zip non-notebook drives," wrote Judge Claudia Wilkin. Citing tests that subjected disks to temperatures of up to 58 degrees Celsius for 16 days in a row, the judge wrote, "Iomega has provided no evidence that testing under these conditions reliably duplicates ordinary lifetime wear of a computer disk, or even maximum expected wear under actual working conditions."

Iomega fibbing about Nomai damaging Zip drives? Looks like it.

Viva La France!
