We've got infrastructure galore in the Prison, Military Industrial world.
I don't know about other states, but California definitely doesn't have enough prisons.

That was part of the reason why Gavin Newsom emptied the prisons during the pandemic. A lot of violent felons got released along with the proverbial "poor drug possessors" and "shoplifters who did it to support kids."

As for our military industrial complex, we definitely have a lot of that, and we're about to get much more thanks to the war in Ukraine. (You'd think right-wingers would be cheering this, but of course they're against this because, you know, the tRuMpInAtOr ...)

Governments subsidize sports stadiums because it drives business around the Stadium or arena, do they get their money back in taxes?
