She didn't write immigration laws
She's the VP, right? She has quite a bit of clout on Capitol Hill.

Instead of whining about being placed in a "no-win" situation and attacking her critics as "racists" and "sexists," perhaps she should have gotten on the phone with congressional representatives.

Then she should have figured out ways to hire and confirm more judges in order to clear up the five-year backlog of asylum requests.

And she should have sat down with lawmakers and ICE to come up with ways to reduce the abuse of the asylum-seeking process.

I'm sure she had the brainpower to do all of this, given her law degree, her passing of the California Bar, and her time as DA and later AG.

Why she acts like a total ditz in public is beyond me. As an Asian-American, I find it embarrassing that she happens to be the first "Asian-American" VP.
