America needs immigration reform, or it risks of losing an entire generation of tech workers to countries like Canada, the UK, and Japan
"Immigration reform" is such an ambiguous phrase.

To the left, it means amnestia and abolishing ICE. (But no, don't call it "open borders," Alexandria Occasional-Cortex.)

To the right, it means closing the borders, building that wall, and strictly limiting even legal immigration. (Cause you know, those H1-B visa holders are taking jobs away from rEaL aMeRiCaNs.)

There needs to be a compromise that imposes equal pain on both sides, but neither side is in the mood for negotiation. Not by a longshot. It's a winner-take-all political environment.
