Now you are spewing the Trumpie nonsense. Have the tariffs worked? Who has benefited from the tariffs against China? There was an initial trade agreement with China. Has China honored that agreement? Do you know why China hasn't done so.

Since the China tariffs, our relationship with China has deteriorated quite substantially. There were other venues available to get China to loosen up on free trade. All Trump did ( and Biden continued this) was make a poor situation worse.

You are nothing more than an extreme right wing ideologue under the pretense of free market horseshit for the Rich and free speech and protection for Rich, white folks who are terrified of a black and minority backlash.

People ( and nations) have different definitions of what free trade is all about. Free trade from a pure capitalist ideology and free trade from a centralized planning, authoritative government that mixes in capitalism to suit itself are two different things. To expect China to conform to US standards of free trade is foolhardy at best. Playing hardball backfires most of the time. A more pragmatic approach would likely have worked much better; it certainly would not have produced worse results.
