I remember they would add a quart of oil from a pump into a glass container. then pour in the quart of oil.

Yep, house prices nearly double in five years (rents too) and food prices jump over 50%, eggs up 6 times in some places,...and wages go up 6%. Yep, inflation is someone's best friend. Don't worry, the government will fix everything :-)
