Wharfie,
So it's all about the Benjamins? As long as you don't have to pay a dime out of your own pocket, and climate migrants don't move in next door to you, it's OK when others get burned/flooded/droughted/blown/starved because of climate change.
How much do you want to pay because, "If it saves one life, it's worth it"?

Life is full of risks. The risk of natural disaster is part of life.

Driving gas-powered vehicles is now part of modern life. Flying in gas-guzzling jets is part of modern life.

If you want to tell everyone to live ascetically until we can get to a "renewable" utopia, you're not going to get very many followers who aren't abject hypocrites.

And that's not even including the hypocrisy of Davos elites who fly around in private jets but tell everyone else to "save the planet."

But hey, they're rich enough to purchase indulgences (a.k.a. "carbon credits") in order to make up for their sinful lifestyles.

And of course, they're rich enough to make pilgrimages to Saint Greta for photo ops.
