Bill,
He wasn't tried and convicted. He was bullied into pleading guilty because his alternative was to sit in solitary for another year before a trial.
That would have violated his right to a speedy trial. If he could prove that he was bullied and threatened with such a blatant violation of civil rights, then the appeal would be a no-brainer.

Either way, you haven't proven that his conviction was vacated. All you did was point out that he filed an appeal based on new video footage.

You're jumping the gun and assuming his early release from prison "proves" that the federal government thinks he's innocent. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it does not.

Nor does it hint at his chances for a successful appeal, though being released early for good behavior certainly can't hurt.

People are innocent even if they are convicted in court and plead guilty it TucQer says they're innocent.
