Wharfie, Biden even voted for the war. Many of us was all for the war, especially me. After OBL got killed, I felt that was a good time as any to end the "war on terrorism" and start drawing down from Afghanistan. But nope, nation-building became the status quo, and like I said, Obama's "lead from his behind" foreign policy greatly favored the status quo. It was one of the greatest paradoxes of the Democratic Party, how they could be the anti-war party yet still support continued combat operations in Afghanistan.
