I'm surprised to see no one talking about the soon-to-be-released earnings results. I expect them to beat estimates by a penny at .25 compared to .15 a year ago. We should see $30 at options expiration, then higher on positive results.

MRVC-INTC-RMBS!!??!!

I've loaded up on Intel and Rambus over the past few months because of Rambus' novel technology that increases bandwith within computer systems.

To my surprise I've been reading reports of Rambus technology finding its way into networking technology...ATM, Gig-Ethernet, etc. Does MRVC have any plans to get on this bandwagon?

Like MRVC, RMBS has cultivated a close relationship with INTC and I find it hard to believe that MRVC wouldn't understand the seriousness of competitors blowing their doors off because of technology that allows a 10 fold increase in performance!

Hey Dan Spillane...are you up to speed on Rambus technology, and its application in networking? If so, please let me know your thoughts!

Here is a clip of one of the stories...the link to full article follows.

...LSI Logic and NEC join Texas Instruments, which announced last year that it will create next-generation communications ICs incorporating Rambus technology. The first substantiation is ThunderSWITCH II, a nine-port Fast Ethernet and gigabit-Ethernet-capable switch-on-a-chip that leverages Rambus' 600-MHz Concurrent technology.

''As the leader in Ethernet-switching silicon, TI believes that ThunderSWITCH II and Concurrent Rambus are poised to drive the exploding Fast Ethernet switching market,'' said Mike Hogan, director of switching products, Network Business Unit, Semiconductor Group, Texas Instruments. ''We believe the combination of the Rambus memory interface and ThunderSWITCH's unique architecture results in the highest performing Ethernet switching solution in the industry.''...
