I wanted to indicate that this can go either way. No one knows.
I know there are more scams than ever. But this BAAT is a strange situation indeed. Its teetering on the edge, with everyone calling the outcome, and at this point you can justify it going either way.

To ALL...

BOSTON GLOBE - Friday, Feb 13th, 1998

Boston Globe has just learned that a small California car R & D firm Battery Automated Transportation (BAT) which has developed a 100+MPG engine, has signed a deal with Sony Corp to provide gas powered WatchMans. Joe LaStella of BAT said of the deal 'I'm all for it! Screw the SEC and full speed ahead!'

**************************

Do you believe it? Why not? It says 'BOSTON GLOBE' right there at the top... So it MUST be true, right? Once again, people are so willing to believe what they read. I am not saying the SEC story isn't true, but don't you think that before you spew out posts stating things such as 'you ought to be glad it's not worth 000000.000000!' you ought to confirm the story? And what is the potential value of a post like:

'Get real. SEC walks in the door and shuts BAAT down, you will be sitting on worthless stock. That is what's on savvy investor minds today. Go through it a couple of times, and you will know how foolish you sound.'

Get real - you bought the stock, so you believe in the company. If you are stupid to buy stock in a company that you DON'T believe in then that is your own damn fault, sell it and move on. If you didn't buy the stock than you should have no motive for posting here, so why waste your time (and ours)

Dan - I think that you have contributed to the quality of this thread but posts such as this one - ESPECIALLY without independent confirmation - can only be construed as intentionally destructive
