This is a puzzling one. Someone out there is either a real TXN bear or has money to waste. My guess is that TXN may well be trading at or a little under 45 in April 2000, after a 3:1 stock split that is.

Saw your post and was looking at the option data table for the CBOE. Noticed the huge open interest in Puts for TXN - Jan. '99 40's (open interest 50,000). I agree that there are either huge bets on a downturn or quite a bit of insurance. I would speculate that somebody with a lot more $$$ than me is betting this thing will turn down. Just an observation. Any thoughts.
