That is interesting ... bear in mind most/all of that added under Russian/Soviet control..

Kinda funny in the context of Quebec separation .. Quebec got a LOT LOT bigger after confederation :) so if they separate.. I figure maybe give it back.. There goes all that cheap hydro electric power LOL
