Sundar - I think INTEL and TXN, along with some other stocks were great buys at 70 and 40; I have great belief in these stocks and as I have written earlier on this thread that I don't sell INTEL or TXN, I have written this very clearly that no sensible fund manager would listen to Karluk and dump his Intel or TXN. We did get a battering at 92 but we continued with our positions and doubled our positions on low and we had the finest run possible. Karluk was right temporarily for a quarter, but markets are not about a quarter. I think with Nokia earnings and the way things are shaping up in the context of 4-6 quarters, I believe that Techs will perform very very well.
I think if you go through my last lengthy post you will find that maybe I've tried to justify the valuations. I hope you will find them of some help. If you have time and go through my posts from October, you will see that I kept my strategy very clear, objectives very defined and played the whole market on the big picture model, instead of listening to noise. That is what I recommend you should do, make your mind and go techs if you believe in the new paradigm and new economy; if you have any questions and doubts on the recuperativability of ASEA, Japan and Europe, then don't touch Techs. I believe in global new cycle of development. I could be way off the mark but as far as indicators and signs do not show me to develop a different philosophy I'll continue to believe in a global development process leading to a higher corporate profitability. Yes, if I find deterioration in global financial markets and global trade patterns, I will redefine my strategy.
Best regards,
Ike
