Recently there was a post on another thread that TI was looking for partners in MPEG and/or DVD. Has anyone heard any scuttlebutt about TI looking for MPEG/DVD partners? Thanks, David

Pat, incredibly informative post. Thank you. Would you comment at the layman level on what I take to be a little war shaping up between cable modems and ADSL/DMT? Assume nobody had an axe to grind (okay, that's a big assumption) and Joe and Harry were just chewing the fat. Joe says I'm going to put ADSL into my home for faster net access cause it has these advantages blah blah blah. Harry says well I'm going to put in a cable modem cause it has these advantages blah blah blah. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to fill in the blah blah blahs.
