COTS as of April 25, 2023 All Is Quiet on the Western Front This week the commercials had a net decrease in their silver short position and small increase in their net short position in gold. The Fed meets Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We'll see how their announcement affects the markets. Ed Steer's Comments: on silver: "... the set-up in silver is still very bullish ..." and on gold: "So, from a COMEX futures market perspective, the set-up in gold is pretty bearish. I believer that Ted said that it hasn't been this bearish in gold since this time last year." Check out the graphs this week as they show the build up in net short positions more clearly.
