BC,
an absurd theory emerged that it was the "first Twitter-fueled bank run,"
The theory might be an exaggeration, but it's far from "absurd."

Peter Thiel (and I guess Bill Ackman as well, though this is the first time I heard his name associated with SVB's collapse) spotted some instability SVB's finances and wisely decided to GTFO.

Unfortunately a move like that is bound to be noticed. And in the social media age, the flames will be fanned by powerful winds, especially from Twitter.

So no, the theory isn't "absurd," nor does it discount any core causes for SVB's financial collapse.
