Scott Jengle Five people, including an 8-year-old boy, were shot "execution style" Friday night allegedly by a neighbor with an AR-15 at a crowded home in San Jacinto County. San Jacinto County sheriff's deputies found a woman shot at the front door and two other women shot in a bedroom, where they were lying across three small children as if to try to protect them, authorities said. A man and an 8-year-old boy were also killed in the shooting around 11:30 p.m. at the home on Walter Road in the Trails End Subdivision. Five people were shot, including an 8-year-old boy, 'execution style' inside a home in San Jacinto County on Friday night. Although the three small children were covered in blood and taken to a hospital for observation, none of them had any injuries. Exams determined the blood was from the two women that were lying over them, officials said. All the victims were shot "execution style," San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said. Ten people were inside the home at the time, and all of them were Honduran. Investigators were told that a 38-year-old neighbor was allegedly firing his AR-15 in the front yard of the home, Capers said. The yards are about one-fourth acre each. Before the killings, one of the neighbors -- the man later found dead -- went to the fence separating the residences and told the man that he had an infant and asked him to stop shooting. The gunman stopped and went inside his home. It was a short time later he reappeared and started shooting again. An 8-year-old boy and four others were fatally shot at a home in San Jacinto on Friday night. Scott Jengle Capers said deputies had been called to the man's home numerous times about reports of shooting. When San Jacinto deputies arrived, they called Montgomery County law enforcement officials and SWAT for help because they didn't know if the suspect was armed inside the home. After getting a search warrant and entering the home, the gunman was no where to be found. Authorities believe he has left the area and have issued an arrest warrant. The Texas Rangers are also assisting in the investigation. houstonchronicle.com
